I can tell you that as we walked up the steps (a little late) at the Baseball game we went to on Friday your grand-daughter was singing the Star Spangled Banner - word perfect - with a big beam over her face.
My first baseball game, my first 4th of July here (made an even more fitting celebration of my own personal emancipation from English rule as well).
It was a very proud moment for me to be there as I heard the words - words that force tears into eyes of the machismo and place lumps in the throats of those who make the effort to listen and understand their meaning...
"Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto: "In God is our trust." And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!"
